Isn't this the bit where I'm supposed to write everything in the third person? Sorry to disappoint folks...
Photography is in my blood and has been a part of my life for as long as I can remember. My grandfather was a keen amateur and this passed down through the genes. It's been an unending learning curve since my first camera which I received when I was 8.
Travel books and magazine advertising also have a lot to blame for my photographic yearnings. Far off exotic lands and sultry fashion models became clippings for my wall during my youth, and I guess the bug of captivating imagery was well and truly embedded in my soul.
It is the magic of photography that made me fall in love with it in the first place. Things have come on massively since the "good ol' days" of film, and I think the competition bar has been raised with the advent of digital and widespread internet presence and photo sites. I see this only as a good thing. It pushes us all forward as photographers, encouraging us to evolve and continually develop our art.
